Parkside LEGO Lab
This is a no-cost, drop-in activity with no enrollment process, facilitated by Julie Park and other parent volunteers.
What is LEGO Lab?
It's a fun, educational space for students to design, build, and tinker with LEGOs. Parkside has the following LEGO Education kits: Story Tales and Coding Express (Duplo), BricQ Motion Essential, SPIKE Essential, SPIKE Prime & Expansion, over 13,500 free build LEGO bricks, and more! Pre-K to 8th-grade students + responsible adults

- 2026: 9/3, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 12/3, 12/10
- 2027: 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27, 6/3
What time is it?
2:40 PM to 4:00 PM
Where is it?
LGI. After school dismissal, students re-enter Parkside at the LGI gate.
Requirements

A signed PTA Waiver

Pre-K to 3rd graders must be accompanied by a designated adult.

4th - 6th graders who leave campus on their own and attend LEGO Lab independently must complete the After School Release Plan in advance.

Students who attend an afterschool program such as Annex must be accompanied by an adult.

For advanced LEGO kits, students will need their Chromebooks to access building instructions and to program using Scratch or Python.
