Dear SMFCSD Families,

The San Mateo-Foster City School District, in partnership with the Bay Ed Fund, is launching a bold and inclusive planning effort to shape our shared vision for the future of education. TheCommunity Strategic Plan for 2027-2032will be a product of deep listening, collaboration, and community ownership -- and we invite you to be part of it.

You'll notice that for the first time, we are intentionally naming this next phase aCommunityStrategic Plan. Why? Because we believe the future of education must be createdwith, not just for, the people we serve. The wordCommunityrepresents a powerful shift in how we work -- one that calls for deeper collaboration, broader ownership, and transformational levels of parent, student, and community involvement.

We invite you to participate in our first visioning kick-off meeting onWednesday, September 3, from 6-7:30 pmat Meadow Heights Elementary School. This process is about more than creating a document -- it's about building a culture of shared learning that lifts every student.
