8TH GRADE PROMOTION

Parkside Montessori School continues to grow and is proud to promote its 3rd cohort of eighth graders, the Class of 2026.

 

This milestone marks the students’ transition from eighth grade to ninth grade. Rather than an endpoint, it represents an important step forward in their educational journey. For this reason, it is considered a promotion rather than a graduation.

 

 

 

 

PROMOTION INVITATION

 

You are cordially invited to join Parkside Montessori’s 8th-grade promotion!

 

Program

  • Opening Remarks from Mr. Tahai

  • Candlelight Ceremony

  • Certificates

  • Slideshow

  • Refreshments and photo opportunities

 

When

  • Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM

  • Seating will begin at 3:15 PM. 

  • Please use street parking.

 

Where

  • The NEW Multi-Purpose Room at Parkside

  • Each student is allotted up to 6 tickets to attend the promotion

  • Families will be entered into a lottery for the location of seats, and names will be on the chairs upon arrival.

 

What Students Wear 

  • Have your children wear their best clothes that they already own, that they are comfortable in.

  • Please, no fancy suits, ball gowns, or tuxedos. 

  • No heels or platform shoes for safety reasons.

  • Please save giving your child any leis until after the event. 

  • Please don’t purchase something special for this event, save that for their college tuition ;) 

 

Other Things to Note

  • A parent committee is organizing refreshments, free leis, and decorations. Please do not bring your own. Reach out to Principal Tahai with any questions.

  • If a family wishes, they can pick up their child from school early at 12:30 PM to get ready for the event and return to school by 3:00 PM for the promotion ceremony.
